Sender: roots-in@rootsweb.com I am looking for the descendants of my great-aunt Ida, who was my informant on family history in the 60's, and how I wish I had paid more attention while she was still alive! Here's what I know: Ida's parents were Archibald SCOTT and Ann Jane (Annie) KNOX, b. Dec 23, 1853 in Clarendon, (now) Quebec. They married in 1880, probably on the Ontario side of the Ottawa Valley somewhere. I don't know if Ida had brothers but she had a twin sister, name and (their) birthdate unknown. Ida married the (Rev?) D. R. CLARE, and wrote to me in 1960 from Port Credit, Ontario, mentioning her eldest daughter, Margaret, wife of Archbishop W.L. WRIGHT of the Anglican Church in Sault Ste. Marie, and her second daughter Florence, wife of Rev. A.R. CROGG(?), Knox United Church, Edmonton. She also said she had 18 grandchildren, 6 in university. So where are all you cousins? I'd love to compare family stories and see if we can fill in some blanks. I am the granddaughter of Annie KNOX's youngest brother, John.
