Subject: RE: Davy Crockett's Wife's Grave
Sender: roots-in@rootsweb.com

Hi everyone,
I am not researching this line but my curiosity got peaked by this thread
since I live about 20 miles from where Davy Crockett was born. I had
emailed the lady who posted the original message with a little trivia about
this grave. I had been told that this grave is the smallest state park in
Texas, and she was good enough to email me back that this information is
correct. Anyway our little discussion on this raised some questions in both
our minds. I will take the liberty of asking them here if you don't mind.
Why was she buried here? Why was her grave made a state park? (I
understand that they wanted to make the whole cemetery one but the owners
said no, so they made only her grave a park) Where is Davy buried? If this
is his second wife, who was his first wife and where is she buried?

THANKS

Cathy
