Like Brad Boyes, I too am looking for the records of my
MCNARNEY/MCANARNEY and FARRAN/(various spellings) ancestors
who reportedly left County Down Ireland for Canada in the
mid 1830s, and went on to Locport, Niagra County, New York,
USA after the "troubles of 1838" in Canada.

If anybody knows of any good sources (I've about exhausted
the standard US ones), I'd love to know about them also.

These darn "Irish" ancestors sure make a couple of pints of
Guinness very appealing at times.<G>
