Came to the United States and settled in Pennsylvania. After the War he took his family to Bath County, Kentucky. Died in May 1819. Buried in the Springfield church graveyard, near Sharpsburg. It is the oldest Presbyterian church in Kentucky. The grave of his daughter is there and marked "Levina Crooks", born May 12, 1781. Death 11-2-1799, buried in Bath Co. There are two stones near by that may be Richard and Lavina, no marking. Served as a Ranger on the frontier from Washington County under Captain W. Fife.
