Rooters,
I have an old photograph of an old store called HUBER AND ROGERS GROCERS. In
the front is a horse drawn wooden covered cart or wagon with the same name
painted on the side and the address - 104 BROADWAY. I know this was last
century, and the story goes that this was a grocery store that belonged to my
great grandfather William John Huber and his wife Ada Belle Rogers Reed. Only
one thing, I have discovered he was a rairoad man, not a grocer. Since the man
standing out fron seems young, and they were married in 1886, and there is a
young woman sitting on a chair holding a small baby, I think that if it IS
him, this must be after 1888, birth year of their first child. There is
somebody who is driving the cart, and another young boy in the doorway of the
store.

It would have to be somewhere in Indiana or Illinois. Stories say it's
Indianapolis. It may be in Danville, Indiana, where his family was from. I am
interested in finding out exactly where this store was located - the building
is on the left hand corner of this Broadway. The photographer seems to be
standing across the street.

Any comments on where I should write to to get information on this will be
appreciated. Thank you in advance! Have a great Christmas!
