Rooters -
I am looking for leads for my 2nd great grandfather, Simon P. KESSLER who
(according to the LDS IGI) married Sussanna UPP in Starke County, Ohio, on 22
Dec. 1842. They had at least one son, Henry L. KESSLER, my
great-grandfather. As far as we know, this branch of the KESSLER family came
from Switzerland in the late 1700's or early 1800's and settled in
Pennsylvania. I think in the Philadelphia area, although I have no direct
evidence of that. The family migrated to Anderson, Indianna in the mid
1800's, with a stopover in Starke County, Ohio, where the above couple were
apparently married. Henry L. KESSLER was born in Anderson, Indiana.
If anyone in Rootersland has connections to Pennsylvania KESSLERs and/or
UPPs I would appreciate hearing from you. Please advise to my e-mail
address below.
    Thank you -
Malcolm Agnew
