I have a Dinsmore line that came to SC from Northern Ireland in the 1760s. The moved from Spartanburg Co., SC, to Wayne Co., KY, in 1805, then in 1818 to Lawrence Co., AL, where the lived near the Dinsmores of Morgan Co., who were in TN prior to their move to AL. In fact, some published accounts of the latter family have confused lines in my family with lines of the Morgan Co. family. I believe that most of the U.S. Dinsmores were from the same stock in Northern Ireland. I would be happy to share information with you. Thanks for anything you might send me. Regards, Bill Lindsey.
