Be All Here Greeted in Keeping with the Season:
Rumor in the family has it that an ancestor or relative of my
GGGrandfather, Hugh RANKIN (b. 1812 Ireland, d.aft.1892 Baltimore, MD,
USA) was a gamekeeper for an English King - and the only armed Irishman
the king would allow in his presence. It may all have been a joke, but
can anyone tell me where I might look for lists of royal gamekeepers, or
how otherwise to identify such stalwarts?
May all of your drains come unstopped in the new year.
