Subject: ELTZ
Sender: roots-in@rootsweb.com

Looking for anyone who may have come in contact with unusual name
particularly in and around NJ and PA.

My wife's maiden name is ELTZ. Her father was born circa 1916 around
the PA/northern NJ area. He was raised in a founding home and orphanage
in PA (believe near Scranton, PA) following death of his parents; John Henry
(or Henry John) ELTZ and Agnes BUSH. All records in the orphanage were lost
in fire many years ago and he has been unable to locate a birth certificate
or any other proof of birth, etc.

Her father did locate his sister, Marie Capelle? (nee Eltz) living in
Philadelphia after WWII but at her husband's insistance, no further
communication occurred.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who may be or has come
across this surname in their research.

Thank,
  Dennis Sutton
