Subject: THANK GOD FOR ROOTS-L !
Sender: roots-in@rootsweb.com

I'm gonna quit ! I swear I'm gonna quit these mailing lists ! (All but Roots-L)
Sorry this is a little off the subject of Genealogy I suppose but then where
or how could we communicate on the Net without these nifty mailing lists? BUT,
I'm about to break my New Years Resolution which I haven't even had the chance
to Initiate yet ! NOT TO COMPLAIN about ANYTHING or ANYONE, simply use the
DELETE button and move on. Then this......Went off for a week over the
Christmas Holidays, like a good little subscriber I thought 7 days will be too
long to remain subscribed to all these mailing lists so I (unfortunately)
unsubed to a couple. Since my "more mature", (not old) mind can't recall which
ones I un-subed from I started trying to send out messages. BOUNCE like a
rubber ball....I'm receiving from "some lists" but unable to get a message
posted to that list.....then I get all these nice messages folks are sending
to OK list, NE list, but when I answer I NEVER see my message getting on.
MAISER and I have had our moments, (you know that big Pewter that use to pick
me up, spit me out and wouldn't let me get on ROOTS-L without help from some
of my already subscribed friends), but I'm beginning to feel like he is the
only one that likes my company.
UmmmmmmmHummmmmm, I thought so, just got one of those messages back, "Output
of your job jj.....Got message back from my server this a.m. "WARNING could
not deliver this message for the past 4 hours." Now all I need to do is figure
out how to UNSUB from everything I'm on except ROOTS-L and I'll begin the
New Year without having so many frustrating moments. Who would ever dream that
a person could have made so many new, wonderful and interesting friends in just
one year on the Internet ? My new Resolution ? Take a Computer Crash Course at
our Community College ! "Darn it all I'm missing that "Thread" and can't even
get in on the FLAMING !" Mumble, Grumble ! <VBG>
HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS !
