They were married in Butler Co., OH on 30 Aug 1832 by the Rev. David Layman. Hezekiah’s name appears on the 1832 Personal Property Tax Duplicate for Union Twp. in Butler Co. along with several other McMakens but I have not been able to connect either he or Sarah with their parents. Hezekiah is on the 1840 Census for Shelby Co., OH, Loramie Twp. He, his wife Sarah and three children; Elizabeth, Joseph and Josephine next appear on the 1850 Census for Hamilton Co., OH. They are listed in two places in the City of Cincinnati, Wards 8 and 9. The only difference in the two listings are the addresses and the ages of all vary by one year. They apparently then moved elsewhere since I have not been able to locate them in any later records. I would appreciate any information about either Hezekiah or Sarah and their respective parents.
