She is the daughter of John McMaken who died in Union Twp., Butler Co., OH in late 1828 or before Feb 1829. In the quit calim deed to his property, signed by all the heirs-at-law, she is referred to as “Jane Seward formerly Jane McMaken.” She signed the deed as Jane Seward “her mark.” Robert L.
