They arrived in America in the early 1850's. They had the following children: James, b. abt 1840, Ireland; John, b. abt 1848 in Scotland; William, b. abt 1850 in England; Thomas, b. 1854 in IL; Sarah, b. 1856 in IL; Margaret, b. 1858 in IL; and Charles, b. 1860 in St. Mary's, Waseca Cty., MN.
