According to his marriage license to Josephine Edwards in 1930 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, he was born July 15, 1902 in New Jersey to Robert Stapleton (born Dublin, Ireland) and Rose. I haven't been able to find a single thing on his parents. John and Josephine divorced and John was said to have moved back to New Jersey, and I have only been able to find John in the 1930 census before he got married. To complicate things, on their marriage license his Josephine had crossed out his birth year and place and wrote in 1891, England. Would like to find out if he remarried, had any other children (he had a daughter with Josephine), and when and where he died. I have searched the SSDI and there is a listing that is close, one who was born Dec. 22, 1891, but I'm assuming that since his wife only crossed out the year, that the month and day of July 15 are correct. I am researching this for his daughter, who would like to find out what h! append to him.
