Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #422

Joe,

I do not know if there are stone mason records available but I can tell you
that "bâtisse" in french is a "building" and that "bâtisseur" is a person
that builds or contructs buildings.

Regards,

Marie

Subject: Stone Masons in Quebec

Question: Are there records of stone masons available? And, pardon my
ignorance, but under the employment column, it says 'Batisse'. Is
that 'self-employed'?
