I ask because there's a 56-year-old Parthenia Abernathy in the 1910 census in Lauderdale County, TN, listed as a widow, with 35-year-old son Ernest, 15-year-old daughter Cleo P., and 5-year-old grandson Millad (Millard?) E. In 1920 the same family appears in Lauderdale County, TN, with head of household 43-year-old Ernest, 65-year-old widowed mother "Parhenia", and 15-year-old Eugene (?), no relationship given. If we go backwards in time to 1900, still in Lauderdale County, TN, we find an Abernathy household with 51-year-old head Robert M. (it's hard to read, but is consistent with the name Robert M.), 47-year-old wife Parthenia, 24-year-old son E(something) E., 22-year-old daughter (what looks like Doris something), and 17-year-old daughter (may be Evaline). Also there's 5-year-old boarder Cleopatra Clihfuld (?).
