You might want to go to www.rootsmagic.com and download a trial version of the program. Import a gedcom file of your own data, create the web page and see how you like it. Personally I would rather share my data at WorldConnect at www.rootsweb.com where all you have to do is submit a gedcom file. It is quick and easy and simple to upgrade. It is also easy for the person searching to find your information.
