Linda:

The easiest way for you to go about searching microfilm would be to go to
your local Family History Center. They will show you how to look up the
church records for Mainhardt (there are two films). They will also help you
fill out the order forms and, when the film arrives, they'll show you how to
operate their readers and make copies of the pages you want. The cost is
minimal--under $4 each for the films and about $ .25 per photocopy.

To find others researching SPRING, you might try the SPRING message boards
at RootsWeb and Genealogy.com.

I would also strongly suggest that you study the Research Guidance for
Germany at

  http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/RG/frameset_rg.asp

And do check with your local genealogical society to see if there is anyone
there who is experienced in German research or if they perhaps have lessons
on a topic applicable to your situation. Sometimes you can also sign up for
good lessons online.

Kirsten

Subject: [ROOTS-L] Help

Hi all and Thanks or the emails that I got.

1. Johann Spring born 1570? in Germany
2. child Michael Spring born 1600? in Germany
married Anna Maria Seitz on 2/20/1625
child Johann Sebastian Spring born 1628
3. Johann Sebastian Spring
married Margaret Setzer on 8/11/1668
child Hanss Joerg (Johann George) born 1682
4. Hanss Joerg Spring
marries Anna Barbara
Child Johann Caspar Spring born 1725 in Germany

In this information that I sent I forgot to add that they were from
Mainhardt Jagstkreis Wurettemburg Germany. I would like to know how to go
about
finding more on them. Finding someone related to me would also be nice.
The
cousin that sent me the information said he got it from emails from
researchers. How does one go about looking at film?

Thanks
Linda
