Subject: [ROOTS-L] Civilian Conservation Corps

The records are at the St. Louis Personnel Records repository. I'm sorry but
I don't know their exact address. I am sure someone on this list can give it
to you. You will probably get a generic response that the records were lost
in a fire, but in many cases this is not so. You should follow up with them
on that. We have spoken with an archivist at the Steny Hoyer Archives II at
College Park, MD and he is a specialist on the CCC. He has no references to
individuals and he refers people to St. Louis for that type of information.

Also, you can contact the CCC Alumni Association, also in St. Louis at
Jefferson Barracks. They have a wealth of information there, but no direct link to
individuals at specific camps. It would be helpful if you were able to give
them a camp name or number, but maybe the location will help. Also, make
certain to reference the dates. There are many active CCC alumni groups in
different parts of the country and the alumni association may be able to put you in
touch with them.

We hope this helps a little. Good luck.
