Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #405

My brother was in the CCC camps in Wyoming. One cold cold winter he and 2 or
3
more boys came home and my mother cooked a meal for them before they left to
be
on their way to their homes. Don't remember where they were from but they
called our water we drank GYP water. We lived out in the country and drew our
water out of a deep well with a couple of tall posts on each side and one over
the top to attach the
pulley and rope onto the 6ft. slender well bucket. The water was ice cold and
so good
in the summer time. It seemed it took forever to get the well bucket back up
once we
began drawing it with the rope as the rope must have been at least 75 to a
100 ft. rope.
I believe one of the places in Wyoming was Casper and then I believe there
was another one.
I would love to know how to get his records as he passed away about 8 years
ago. He was such
a good brother to us and we loved him so much.rak
