The crews cleared forest trails, built other trails, cleared land for parks and other public facilities. My Mom said that she remembered the crews clearing the underbrush at what is now Rooks Park and used that site awhile as a "tent city" for their off-hours. Rooks Park was not called by that name that until many years later. I am not certain about the other projects they worked on. Mary Putman
