I would like to know also, as my uncle was in CCC during the 30's he got back hime from his tour of duty in 1936 or 37, Got a good job in Granite City Steel and bought a very pretty Chevrolet. had just about got it paid for when he was drafted in 1940, served in Phillipnes and discharged in 1946. I know my mom had some of his letters while in CCC's they were post-marked Washington, seems like WallaWalla comes to mind,......

great idea! i have often heard different members of my family speak of their ration books during WWII. never even thought to connect any with the idea of using them for genealogy. I have to check to see if they still have any of theirs.
Does anyone know about how to pursue getting records from the three C's [civilian conservation corp] that existed prior to WWII in the 1930's? my dad was a member and while i know he worked in California and Wisconsin, i don't know the camp names or the unit numbers, Thanks for any help that comes my way, A.Jones
