Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #402 : Laminating

The archival double sided tape is 3M 415. It is used to close encapsulating
sheets--never apply any tape to the item. It can be found at library supply
stores such as Demco www.demco.com or Gaylord www.gaylord.com . They both
carry a line of archival items. If you want to see a printed catalog, ask at
your public library. They carry a useful item, acid-free paper, for original
documents or photo copying. Life claimed to be 300 years.

I don't do any archival work, but I did attend a short 2-hour presentation
on conservation a couple of years ago. There are lots of things to consider.
