I answered with the attitude of all but two of my direct 1st cousins. I must
say that online I have found "cousins" from generations long ago. Many of
these have been very helpful. Recently on a list I was corresponding with a
list member concerning a situation. She happened to mention some surnames
she was trying to get entered in her computer. Bingo, we had a common name
and it is a connection that goes back into the 1600's.

Some are interested and some aren't. My own children fall into the last
group. It is easier when you have others who will at least contribute what
they may have found in the attic.
