The google for it is great advice <G> mostly you just have to try USgenweb
and Rootsweb for the area and just hunt. Also you can try
http://distantcousin.com/Directories/
they have some free directories up.
If you want to know what is around in libraries, especially the Family
History centers you can go to  http://uscitydirectories.com/  Which contains
a list of "known" holders of directories.
