Subject: [ROOTS-L] Death records in Philadelphia

I am having trouble locating a Rootsweb mailing list for the Philadelphia,
PA area.

The Brooklyn and New York lists are quite informative and helpful.  I am
trying to find out about the death of my great-grandfather, which might
have occurred in the Philadelphia PA area between 1905 and 1910, but the
only list I could find was some sort of read-only message board.

I believe his name was John R Avery, and that the death occurred in/related
to an accident stone yard which he may have owned.

If any one can point me in the right direction for finding out about this
I'd be very grateful.  I haven't done any work on PA before.
