Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #382/gene AUTRY

Thanks to all of the great people who answered me on my search for sheet
music of / WAY OUT WEST IN TEXAS. Im still having trouble, but do have the
words now. I belong to the INDIANAPOLIS SENIOR CENTER BAND and we do songs and
skits at nursing homes, churches and anyone who wants us. We are 70s--89 yrs
old and we have a lot of fun and satisfaction seeing others smile. I was
raised in a family of 7 and a widowed mother 34yrs old when Dad died in an auto
wreck. No Social security or insurance,My wonderful mother, MUSIC, singing and
my 2 sisters playing harmonicas kept us happy and together.4 of us are left
now, 2 in Las VEGAS and a brother in N.J. a VIETNAM VET. I lost my WW 2
brother a SEABEE , Tinian ISLE service,in 2000.. My 2 sisters who played the
harmonica are gone too. Im trying to play one too. and did my first at the Arts
Garden MALL at INDY with a SENIOR TALENT SHOW. I did okay. My love is Western
music, and gene AUTRY was my favorite. So, Music still keeps me going. Thanks
to all . Mildred
