Bill,

Sending to "roots-l-request" is a waste of time, as that is simply an
automated system for allowing individuals to subscribe or unsubscribe to the
list.  Messages sent to that address are not seen by the ROOTS-L
subscribers.

I saw your question posted on October 3.  But I would assume that nobody
replied because nobody had any information to give you.

If you haven't already done so, you may want to post your question to a more
specific list or message board.  For instance, there is a WHOLLEY message
board at:

and there are mailing lists both for Boston and for Suffolk County.
