Subject: [ROOTS-L] 94 WWII Ration Book Images Added (1940's)

This week I added 94 images to the Registry of War Ration Books, which
include several user contributions. This is a new project involving an
interesting source of genealogical information for the 1940's.

Included in this batch is Arvid Griffen. Griffen started as prop man with
MGM. He spent much of his career with the studio, next moving up to the
production department as an assistant director. Later is his career, Griffen
was named executive producer of "Doctor Zhivago," in charge of business
matters for the 1965 romantic epic.

Here are surnames of the new items:

Index of War Ration Books (Updated)
http://genealogytoday.com/guide/war-ration-books.html

A bit of comic relief was offerred by Josephine Basile, who took it upon
herself to freshen her lipstick and plant a lovely kiss upon her ration
book. She repeated this activity with her next book as well.

This database is updated weekly and now contains over 450 listings.

If you have some of these books that you would like to share, please feel
free to email me for instructions for uploading and/or mailing the
information.

Good Luck Searching,
- illya
