    The point is that the person who is answering the query should not have 
to click to be put on anybody's email filter list.  The person answering has 
already done the seeker a favor.  If people want responses they should be 
open to accepting email.  If not, don't send queries asking for help. It's 
pretty simple.

        Frequently in my private responses I send attachments such as 
pedigree charts,  family group sheets, or census images from Ancestry for 
example.  These won't go through Rootsweb mailing lists.  Personally I have 
a busy life but I try to repay the help given to me in the past by helping 
others in return.  But I don't want to waste time on people who won't accept 
email.  It's annoying to put it tactfully.
