But doesn't it seem rather rude to expect responders to "request permission"
to send you information that you asked for in the first place?  Personally,
I'd find a different e-mail program.

Well  it all looks pretty simple to me...If you want your email to get
through merely click on the link below....

You don't always know who is going to be answering your post.  If you knew
for sure then you'd add them to the list of 'allowed' addresses.
