Subject: [ROOTS-L] DAVIS family, Chicago 1920-poss. current

Howard A. Davis was the son of Isaac Davis and Sarah Alice Maynard Davis.  He 
was probably born in Hamilton, Butler Co., OH, 1890.
He had a brother,  Arthur, who married, but died childless and is buried in 
Hamilton, OH.
I  located a letter in the cemetery file on the plots purchased that put 
Howard A.  Davis in Chicago in 1949. On the 1930 census, Howard Davis was with his 
wife  Grace and son Robert H.
Obits just received from Chicago Tribune didn't give  Howard's vitals, so I 
don't know if he is the one I am searching for.
His  obit, 1969, mentioned deceased wife, Grace May, and surviving children, 
Robert  H.,  Ruth M. Briggs.
Grace's 1957 obit  listed mother of Robert H. Davis, Mrs. Grace Piper, lthe 
ate Mrs. Mildred  Edwards. No husband mentioned.
Robert H. obit, 1972, mentioned wife Dorothy,  and children, Robert Jr., 
Arthur, and Joanne Lenz and sister Grace Piper.
I'm not able to identify any of them through public records, telephone  
books, etc.

If these are the right Davis(s), I would like to get in touch  with any of 
them to fill in the Maynard blanks..
