While you might not find the exact Counties that you are looking for.....go  
to GOOGLE and click on the Images. Ask for West Virginia Coal Mine. There are  
almost 750 images that you can look thru.

Hello,

We are having a family reunion in  North Carolina at the end of June. I am  
looking for any coal mine  pictures I could use to display. Especially from  
McDowell, Mercer and  Wyoming Counties.My grandfather died in the Jenkinjones 
 
Mine. I want  to teach our children about how their grandparents and great   
grandparents worked in the mines. Many of them have never even seen a lump  
of  coal. 
Any help with any information would be most appreciated. I  know I am  
working 
a short time line here. But if anyone can scan and  email would be  
wonderful.
