The National Archives' website gives information about what can be found in these records and how to order them. The website is located at http://www.archives.gov/genealogy/military/civil-war/. If you don't know which unit he served with you can look him up at The Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System (CWSS) at http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.htm Also on the same site there is a database for Andersonville Prison but I couldn't find a listing for Daniel Langford there. The database is located at http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/prisoners.htm. According to one source I checked, The Encyclopedia of the American Civil War, Andersonville received its first prisoners on February 25, 1864.
