Subject: [ROOTS-L] GermanNames

Hi:

Sorry but I could not find your Simon Warheit and Anna Maria Bolsen in the ENINGEN Church records.

BUT;

There is a little known program that is not advertised or known but I have found it to be very useful in finding where I might find some ancestry's location in Germany.

Go to  http://www.GermanNames.com

Click on the "German Names Map".

Click on the Mail order form, fill it out with your names, WARHEIT and BOLSEN (also others if you wish), then send it in, it is very reasonable, as you will see.

You will get back a list of your names that appear in the many towns/cities of Germany. along with addresses and zip codes.

Now if you go back and click on the Digital German Gazetteer, click on details, purchase this for $9.00.

With this program and your list of towns/cities, compare the results, you might be able to find the town/city where both names appear from your German Names Map results.

I have found this to be helpful in finding where family came from.

Good Luck.

Frank Hummel

BTW, I have no monetary interest in these programs.
