Looking for a surname that is spelled TACHART in family records. The family probably came from what is now Germany. Have tried other possible spellings. Can anyone suggest what it might be? Specifically: Elizabeth TACHART b. 27 March 1860, supposedly in Germantown, Pennsylvania. (Mapquest finds 5 of these but she most likely was near Pittsburgh.) She died 24 March 1916. All this from family records. She married (about 1877) Albert BEILSTEIN (b. 1852 Penn.) whose parents came from Hesse Darmstadt. In the 1880, 1900, and 1910 censuses Elizabeth and Albert lived in Allegheny (Allegheny Co.), Pennsylvania. I'd like to find Elizabeth's parents but have had no luck with censuses, IGI, etc., even with creative spelling.
