Subject: [ROOTS-L] Israel Dille and Sarah Forrest

Seeking information on Israel Dille especially parents, place of birth and 
date of birth. All of the following information is taken from his wife's 
Civil War widow's pension file.  He married Sarah Forrest on October 9, 1850 
in Morrow County, Ohio. They had the following four children: Jasper born 
August 4, 1851 in Columbus, Ohio, James born November 15, 1854 in 
Indianapolis, Indiana, Martha born November 1, 1856 in Columbus, Indiana, 
and Minnie born July 9, 1861 in Columbus, Indiana. Israel was a captain in 
the 33rd Indiana Infantry Company G during the Civil War. He was killed by 
guerillas on July 17, 1863 at Fosterville, Tennessee. Sarah remarried on 
September 4, 1873 in Indianapolis to Jeremiah Potter.
