Subject: [ROOTS-L] Barney McNelly's Parents

I am searching for the parents of Barney McNelly, b. 01, Nov. 1812, Budd's Furnace, NJ., d. 30, Aug. 1896, Clinton Co., IN.  According to an 1880 IN census both parents were from Ireland.  I am considering visiting the NJ State Archives in Trenton the first of June to try to obtain any possible birth info. on Barney and other info. on his parents.  Does anyone have any suggestions for searching the Trenton Archives or if the trip would be warranted?  I have searched Ancestry and Indiana & Ohio records and have found info. on him in those States.  I would greatly appreciate your expertise and any assistance!
