You will have a difficult time because adoption records are not made public. However, you can go to the original county and ask that the original adoptive parents for permission of obtain copies of the adoption or ask them directly for the records. Prior records as to her adoption will not in all likelihood be opened. The previous adoptive parents may know of the previous legal difficulties of the birth parents and their names. Once a child is adopted, the child's birth certificate is changed to reflect the new adoptive parents' names. Bill Karr in Peoria, IL., USA
