ANSWER TO BELOW:
 
This is partly to anyone seeking an Obit that might be within the last 5 to  
10 years. Always go to Google.com and ask for the town/county newspaper. In 
this  case I requested Ardmore Oklahoma Newspaper. The URL and hyperlink are 
listed  below.
 
While not all newspapers are this kind, all I had to do was register (which  
was Free) and go to the Archives. There were several others named "Tate"  that 
died in 2003 but here is the one you were seeking.

Betty Burr Tate 
 
MARIETTA -- Services for Betty June Burr Tate, 72, of Ardmore, will be at  10 
a.m. Saturday at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home with the Rev. Angela Harrison  
officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
Born May 13, 1931, in  Denver, Colo., to Chester and Mable Tetzloff Garson, 
she died June 17, 2003,  near Marietta.
 
Raised in Denver, she lived in Grapevine, Texas, 10 years and was a former  
cook in the public school system. She was a homemaker and a Baptist and had  
lived in Ardmore the past five years. She was preceded in death by her husband,  
Archie Tate, on Sept. 23, 1989; a son, Clyde Burr; two brothers; and a  
sister.
 
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Petersen, Marietta, Grace Crewes  
and Sharon Wilson, Denver; six stepchildren, Shelby Croy, Princeton, W.V.,  
Sheila Rafferty, Steve Tate and Ron Tate, Denver, Ray and Ben Tate, Colorado; a  
brother, Walter Garson, Denver; 14 grandchildren; and three  
great-grandchildren.
 
Bearers are Clifford Burr, Michael Crewes, Edward Rafferty, Raymond Garson,  
Kenneth Garson and David Garson.
