He was born October 1, 1912 in Jersey City, NJ. His parents were Edward Kowalski and Josephine (Kainowski) Kowalski. He was Baptized on 10/20/1912 in St. Peter's Church, Grand St. Jersey City, NJ. The sponsors were Wilton Hilton and Lucy Hilton. His two sisters are Mary and Theresa, his brothers are Barney, Frankie, Harry, I don't know the names of the other brothers. His father, Edward Kowalski had worked at the Palmolive Plant in Jersey City, NJ and so did Ed at a very early age. At some time some of the family change their last name to Smith. After the father died the Mother remarried and became Josephine Daily or(Daley-Dailey). Can anyone please help me on this. PAT
