There are more than 80000 family members just in South Africa, and an unknown number in other countries. The idea is to find the proof of the ancestry of Jean Prieur du Plessis and also bring out the " Great du Plessis Family family tree" including ALL the related families. On my part I have been doing research for many years and made some interesting findings. My fellow researchers have also been doing research for many years and have a lot of information. It is clear that this is an impossible task for just 2 or 3 researchers to do this work. Many researchers we do not know about have also been doing research and we request them to join the group and help with the research. If such researchers do not wish to help us, we would appreciate it if they would just submit their personal line. We might have their missing links. I would like to include interesting stories about the people in the family tree, where that is possible. We can also use persons to translate from French to English. I request all du Plessis researchers to assist us in this huge task and to also involve their other family members.
