Perhaps I have missed the point here, but I do not believe anyone can
change anything in the gedcom files submitted to either "WORLDCONNECT" or
the "ANCESTRY WORLD TREE". The submitter has control over both of what they
post and whether they decide to replace or to remove their database
entirely.

As far as the "ONE WORLD TREE" is concerned, looking at what is mashed
together tends not to give one much confidence about what one sees and I
rarely use it.

Personally I tend to look at the collection of individual databases
where one can get a better feel for the quality of research in that one
database.

I don't know what the policy is for removing one's database from the
"ONE WORLD TREE" combined database, but I would think you could have
Ancestry remove it. Then resubmit a new gedcom to the WorldConnect side. I
have had a gedcom on Ancestry /WorldConnect continuously for over 10 years,
although I now submit from the WC side since I can limit the number of
generations that can be downloaded at one time. My database is not part of
the One World Tree.

I don't know what the criteria was for the original choice of databases
into ONE WORLD TREE and I do not know what criteria they will use to add new
databases in the future. Perhaps someone can enlighten the rest of us to
the process used initially and in the future.
