It is a great way to help other researchers working on your family. 2. It is a great way to help researchers find out that your family society exists and gain them as new members. 3. It is the best way to find the mistakes in your database. Those who are closely related will point out the errors. 4. It is a great way to add new data from those who contact you and it is usually very reliable information because it comes from someone closely related and very interested in you "getting it right". Many were very opposed to it but the majority wanted to give it a try. This has been a huge success for the Meriwether Society in every way. We do not allow our GedCom to be downloaded.
