Monthly meetings and programs of the Lincoln-Lancaster County
Genealogical Society (LLCGS) programs are held every second Tuesday of
every month at 7:15 p.m. in the lower level amphitheater of the E. N.
Dick Administration Building on the Union College campus, 3800 So.
48th St. in Lincoln, Nebraska. Some special programs or events are
held in other locations.

 The programs are usually preceded by a short Society business
meeting, lasting from fifteen to thirty minutes.

The program topics usually cover general genealogy topics of interest
to amateur family history searchers, though some programs may be
specific to Nebraska or to Lancaster County, Nebraska.

Non-member guests from the Lincoln-Lancaster Co. community are welcome
to attend any of our meetings and programs.

Cancellations of or changes to any of these programs due to inclement
weather or other unforeseen circumstances will be posted and/or
announced on our web site and on appropriate Internet mail lists, as
well as to Lincoln radio stations, KLIN and KFOR.

 Our 2005-2006 Membership & Publicity Chairperson, Lynette Kohles,
Lincoln, can be contacted throughout the year for information
regarding our Society, membership, programs, parking and our library.
Sometimes another specific contact person is listed for information
regarding a particular program or special event.

Meeting for May 9, 2006:
"Military Records From Both Sides Of The Colonial And Civil Wars"
presented by guest speaker Merle Rudebusch.
Sources of military records for both sides of our country's early
wars, including the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812 and our Civil
War will be given. Merle is currently the Graves & Monument
Registration Officer for the Southeast NE Camp of the NE Sons of Union
Veterans of the Civil War and also serves on the SUVCW National
Committee on Graves Registration.
