Hi
Do you have an American-Canadian Genealogical Society in your state? The
one in NH is run by volunteers who can be quite helpful and the society
would have a library to use.

Helen

Subject: [ROOTS-L] Princeville or Stanfold Quebec Info Needed

Hello,

I have just traced my fiance's family back to Canada and I am trying to
find
out where I can write for birth, baptism, marriage, or death records. The
time period that would help me would be from about 1855-1900. It is my
understanding that church records are the best way to go but that I need to
specify a
church in my letter. The family was in the 1881, 1901 and 1911 censuses in
Stanfold but also had connections to Princeville. I can not find anything
about Stanfold so I am guessing Princeville is nearby and that may be where

records are (anyone know for sure?) I am also finding various addresses to
write
to and info about microfilm at the Canadian Archives but I'm not sure what
way
to go to access records.

I am trying to confirm his Sevigny line's connection to one that has been
researched and I need more records to do so.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Elizabeth
