If you go to www.rootsweb.com and click on "Search family trees" under
"WorldConnect", you can search this large shared database for submitted
databases perhaps from people researching families that are of interest to
you.

This is the same database as the one found on Ancestry called Ancestry
World Tree. If you are a member you can access if from Ancestry, if not or
even if you just prefer, anyone can access it FREE from the main rootsweb
site as I described above.

-----
You don't have to be an Ancestry subscriber to freely access the Ancestry
World Tree/Worldconnect databases from the Ancestry side. You can search the
database from this page:

http://www.ancestry.com/trees/awt/main.aspx

However, I still find the searches from the WorldConnect entry point to be
more effective--but it can be done from the Ancestry siad as well.
