Subject: [ROOTS-L] Answers to "POST-EMS" in Family Trees

Hi Everyone,
I know there were some people recently stating that when they left a
"Post-Em" on someone's Family Tree they never even got a response from the lister.

Several days ago someone left me a "Post-Em" on my site. I was never
notified that it was there. Luckily she also emailed me directly and we made family
contact.

I even entered a "Post-Em" on my own site yesterday.....no notice received
again! I'm getting all my other mail from ROOTS so don't understand the
problem. I double checked and the Yes was checked to receive notification if a
Post-Em was left AND YES......I checked my Spam Folder. Truthfully I check it at
least once a day anyway.

The worst part is, unless I open the Family Tree and get to the "Exact
Person" that the Post-em was left for there is no way I can tell if there is one.

I would think that I should be able to log on and find that there are
several Post-ems listed and be able to read them all. However at the moment that
does not seem to be the case.

However, if any of you leave a Post-em to a family tree I would suggest you
also send an email to the person. True, sometimes the addresses are outdated
but at least you will have tried. Having left messages, etc out for the world
to see for many years, I haven't changed my email address in over 12
years......afraid I might miss an email from someone (grin).

Just advising and sort of venting.......Gretchen
