Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: ROOTS-L Digest VO #30

I also have been a subscriber of ancestry for many years. I can certainly
remember my mom and i making many trips to the archives waiting for a
machine, looking for the right tape. Plus gas expenses and most of all the
time to do all of this. Now I can sit at home and do the same thing at my
leisure.. I am now disable and not capable of doing the traveling, plus am
raising 3 grandchildren so don't have the time to travel. I also now live in
a very small community and would have to travel long distances, to find a
library. Now i have done most of my husbands research right here in town,
but they came to this county in 1830-1850's. so most of that info is right
here in this county. The rest i did thru ancestry. I know that some people
think that its expensive, and i agree, but compare it to your time traveling
and researching and i think that you will find that its cheaper.
