I agree with Shirley. It takes forever to find
the correct article on the page & then it isn't the
same name entered. This is a waste of time.
However, like Shirley, I love my subscription
to Ancestry.com. I can't live without it. It's worth
every penny. I have the full subscription and use
every bit of it. I too, think I save money by having
it.
Another good site, & part of My Family.com,
is the Genealogy.com Historical Library. I have
found excellent info there too. I just have that
one part of Genealogy.com & it was only abt.
$79. It has will abstracts & many vitals from
the old Eastern part of the U.S. If My Family.com
will allow it, ask if you can take a look for a day
to see what all the library has. It is excellent if
you have eastern ancestors.
Unfortunately, Godfrey Library is not going
to have all of their sites that I have enjoyed so
much. I really loved the books. I hope they can
turn that around. Never used Godfrey for
Heritage's census because it isn't complete &
it's too hard to use, but the books on Heritage
are wonderful & I have found so much there.
I hope the new director can turn things around.
Godfrey is a bargain at $35 & I think they
should raise that to at least $45 to help keep
some of what they had.
In the meantime, I'm excited that Tom
Kemp is at NewsBank. We are waiting for your
"what's new" annoucement, Tom!
May all of your brick walls crumble. -Donna
